The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has opened the registration process for the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) 2025 today, September 2, 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official KEA website at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea.

The application forms must be submitted online by September 18, 2025, and the deadline for payment of the application fee is September 19, 2025. The KSET 2025 examination is scheduled for November 2, 2025, with admit cards to be issued on October 24, 2025. The exam will cover 33 subjects.

KSET 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have secured at least 55% marks in a Master’s degree or an equivalent examination from universities or institutions recognised by the UGC to be eligible for KSET 2025. Those currently pursuing their Master’s degree (first or second year) or awaiting final results can also apply. Such candidates will be provisionally admitted and must provide proof of completing their Master’s degree with the required percentage within two years from the KSET result date to receive the eligibility certificate.

KSET 2025: Application Fees

According to the official notification, the application fee for KSET 2025 is Rs 1,000 for General category candidates. Candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and transgender categories need to pay Rs 700.

Step 2. Click on the KSET 2025 application link on the homepage.

Step 3. Register yourself and fill out the online application form.

Step 4. Upload the required documents and pay the application fee.

Step 5. Submit the form and keep a printout of the filled form for future reference.

KSET 2025: Exam Pattern

The KSET exam consists of two papers: Paper I and Paper II. Paper I includes 50 objective-type compulsory questions worth 100 marks, while Paper II contains 100 objective-type compulsory questions for a total of 200 marks. Candidates will mark their answers on the Optical Marks Reader (OMR) sheet provided along with the test booklet.
