When is the next Helldivers 2 update?
Helldivers 2′s next major update will arrive on May 9, 2024. Given that the last one was added so recently, it’ll be a couple of weeks before we hear about what’s next.
According to the official Helldivers 2 Warbond FAQ: ‘For right now, Warbonds will be released every second Thursday of the month. Every time a new Warbond is released, you will be able to preview the content, and the Warbonds will never disappear, so you can purchase them or not whenever you want to.’ We don’t have specifics just yet, so stay tuned for updates.
Here’s what was added as part of the last update, the Democratic Detonation Warbond:
- New armor – CE-27 Ground Breaker, CE-07 Demolition Specialist, FS-55 Devastator, Three capes including the Harbinger of True Equality.
- New weapons – BR-14 Adjudicator Rifle, R-36 Eruptor Rifle, CB-9 Exploding Crossbow,
- New grenade – G-123 Thermite Grenade
- New sidearm – GP-31 Grenade Pistol
- New Booster – Expert Extraction – lowers the time it takes for the extraction shuttle to reach the extraction beacon

What is a Warbond in Helldivers 2?
A Warbond is essentially a Battle Pass. There’s one in the base game, as well as a premium one called Steeled Veterans. Cutting Edge will add another Premium Battle Pass, allowing players to use Medals to unlock new rewards.
Are Helldivers 2 Warbonds free?
No, the upcoming Cutting Edge Warbond will require Super Credits to purchase. While these can be found in-game, and unlocked via the base Battle Pass, you may need to spend real money to get enough to unlock the next Warbond. A price has yet to be given, but if it’s the same as the other Premium Warbond, it’ll be 1000 Super Credits.
How do you unlock the new weapons and armor from Warbonds?
New Warbond will function the same as the other two currently in the game. You’ll earn Medals in missions, and then use them to slowly work your way through the Battle Pass rewards. You will not have access to everything after buying the Warbond.
